In 2K polyurethane systems, the thinner must not interfere with the reaction between resin and hardener. JLTL 002 is formulated with a low-moisture, non-active-hydrogen solvent blend, helping avoid curing problems caused by unsuitable solvents.

1. 2K Clear Coat Spraying

   JLTL 002 can be used with compatible 2K acrylic polyurethane clear coats to adjust spray viscosity and improve flow. It helps painters obtain a wet, glossy and fuller clear coat surface.

2. 2K Solid Color Topcoat

   When used with 2K solid color paint, JLTL 002 helps the paint spray more evenly and improves wet film leveling. This is useful for commercial repair, fleet repainting and general collision repair.

3. 1K Metallic Basecoat

For 2K systems, recommended mixing order:

Paint / Clear Coat
→ Add Hardener
→ Stir evenly
→ Add JLTL 002 Thinner
→ Stir again
→ Filter before spraying

Do not pour thinner directly into hardener. Avoid contamination with water, oil or dust.

Use a viscosity cup if available. For many automotive refinishing coatings, spray viscosity is commonly adjusted to a suitable range based on the paint system and spray gun setup.

If no viscosity cup is available, check the paint flow from the mixing stick. The material should run smoothly and continuously, not too thick and not watery.

Before spraying the vehicle, apply a small test panel or hidden area.

Check:

• Spray mist fineness

• Wet edge

• Flow and leveling

• Gloss after flash-off

• Metallic particle appearance for basecoat
